Dear Tap Enthusiast,
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the annual Tap
Extravaganza presented by The Committee to Celebrate
National Tap Dance Day (Flo-Bert, Ltd) held in New York
City. Not only are we gearing up for the performance/awards
show in May 2009, but we are also planning an array of
events along the way. Read on to see what's coming up and
how you can support the organization.
September Event
Picnic in the Park
When: Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 1 - 5 pm
Where: Riverside Park @ 145th Street.
Enter at 145th Street and Riverside Drive (Elevator and
Stairs to lower level) or 148th Street and Riverside Drive
(Stairs only to lower level). Follow the Tap Extravaganza
signs.
Join us for some fun outdoor games (such as kickball,
frisbee, and football or, feel free to bring some of your
favorite games and sporting equipment), some tasty food
from the grill ($5 suggested donation) and a tap jam (so
bring your shoes). Labor Day may bring summer to a close,
but there is still more outdoor fun to be had! This event
is open to anyone and everyone who would like to come. We
will also be raffling off some fun prizes so bring a few

Like what we're doing? Here's how you can help...
In order to make this year's 20th Annual Tap Extravaganza
unlike any other, we need your help. We hope to bring this
tap dance & awards show to the legendary Apollo Theater to
take tap dance back to its roots. Your tax-deductible
contribution can help make this a reality. You may make a
donation of $50 or more by following the link below to
Ticket Central. To make a donation less than $50, simply
mail your check made out to Flo-Bert, Ltd. to our office at
Tap Extravaganza, PO Box 2156, New York, NY 10108.
