Tap Studio Description

The Tap Studio offers tap dance classes designed
specifically for adults taught by internationally acclaimed
tap artist, Lane Alexander.

The studio is equipped with a sprung, maple floor for
excellent sound and cushioned impact.

The Tap Studio welcomes all comers from absolute "never
seen a pair of tap shoes before" beginners to Broadway
hoofers and everyone in between. We're serious about the
art, but not about ourselves, so come prepared to hoof it
up in a relaxed yet challenging environment of learning and
celebration. Tap shoes are required and are available for
purchase/order.

A message from Lane...

Why are we making these changes? Primarily, I want the
classes to be "progressive" or "cumulative." When a
slightly different group shows up every week it makes it
difficult to maintain continuity or make any kind of
progress. This new format is meant to create a more stable
learning environment that allows committed, regular
students to make real progress.

We are also looking for additional space to expand our
offerings for children, teenagers and professionals as well
as create a state of the art facility for tap dance
instruction. If you are interested in joining a committee
dedicated to facilitating this expansion, please feel free
to call me, write me or talk to me before or after class.

Finally, we're still planning on adding "practice videos"
to our web site and are looking for volunteers with video
cameras who would be interested in getting this program
started.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all very soon and
starting a new fall full of joyful noise!

Yours in double time,

Lane
