Year Round Adult Tap Classes

Advanced Technique is taught by a rotating roster of guest
master teachers with a focus on technique, rudiments,
repertory and honing advanced rhythm tap skills. Drop-ins

TCYE In-Studio Showing
Join the TAP CITY YOUTH ENSEMBLE as they develop exerpts
from the new show "Tapping into New York." Created for
Young Audiences, this high energy, educational show for
children explores the history of tap dance and its
connection to New York, and features classic and
contemporary choreography, inprovisation, and audience
participation.

Special Benefit Events in 2009: Something For Everyone!
The American Tap Dance Foundation has designed an exciting,
affordable NEW events season for 2009 that will intrigue
every tap enthusiast and help the support our programs as
well.

In lieu of our annual gala which is traditionally held in
May, benefit performance events will occur throughout the
year.

ATDF's 4th Annual Benefit features premiere performances by
our resident Tap City Youth Ensemble, emerging tappers and
special guest artists presenting original choreography and
new concepts in dance.

All proceeds will benefit the Gregory Hines Youth
Scholarship Fund and ongoing education programs.

Sound Check
A Tap Dance Concert Series
February 12 - 13 & 18 - 20, the ATDF will introduce Sound
Check, a new series of Tap Dance Concerts.

Sound Check 2009 will inaugurate the Foundation's
presentation of a home-based season showcasing the
diversity of tap dance in New York City. Presenting three
generations of artists, including tap masters, contemporary
artists and up-and-coming hoofers, Sound Check celebrates
the incredible breadth and scope of the dance form, from
improvisation to new choreography, solo to group dances;
classical to rhythm tap.
