ATDF Youth Classes

Open Houses

The ATDF classes offer children and teens a chance to become immersed in tap culture. Fundamentals of rhythm tap, clean technique, classic and contemporary tap repertory, improvisation skills, plus tap history, films, and jazz music deepen students' appreciation of this great American art form.

Tap City Youth Ensemble Audition
Sunday, September 7th
Audition for intermediate and advanced tap dancers ages 11 - 19.

Pre-registration required. Visit Tap City Youth Ensemble for information.

Year Round Adult Tap Classes
* Advanced Tap Technique for Adults and Teens *

Sundays 3:30 - 5:00 pm

Advanced Technique is taught by a rotating roster of guest master teachers with a focus on technique, rudiments, repertory and honing advanced rhythm tap skills. Master faculty will include Chloe Arnold, Roxanne Butterfly, Michelle Dorrance, Barbara Duffy, DeWitt Fleming, Jared Grimes, Kendrick Jones, Margaret Morrison, Carson Murphy, Max Pollak, Olivia Rosenkrantz, Lynn Schwab, Melinda Sullivan, Tony Waag and more. Weekend Master Tap Intensives:
Take it to the Stage
Tony Waag and Chloe Arnold bring you the Ultimate Tap Choreography experience! Work intensively with today's top Teachers/Choreographers as they create new tap works to be premiered in New York City. The weekend consists of two intensive choreography sessions on Saturday and Sunday and ends with an audition for an Off-Broadway Show -- Tony Waag's Sound Check Concert Series in February of 2009 -- and a chance to perform at Tap City at the world famous Joyce Theater in July of 2009.
