A message from Max Pollak:
I hope you are doing well. I want to inform you about RumbaTap's upcoming season at the Joyce Soho Theater in New York City. I know a lot of you are not in NYC, but this project has been occupying my thoughts for almost six years now, so it is very important to me to announce that it is finally becoming reality. Good luck in all your endeavors.

Nordic myth and African hero-spirits meet and embark on a journey of groove in this evening length work which offers a view of dance and music as a vehicle for uniting people and cultures. Inspired by the Finnish epic Kalevala, (J.R.R. Tolkien's basis for Lord of the Rings) and Afro-Cuban Satneria, "Viis" explores the universal and timeless story of creation, greed, chaos, and hope through tap dance, live music and improvisation.
